With funding from the <a href="http://grassroots.ednet.ns.ca/" target="_new" style="text-decoration:none;color:blue">GrassRoots Project</a> and participation from teachers and students at <a href="http://www.lockview.ednet.ns.ca" target="_new" style="text-decoration:none;color:blue"> Lockview High</a>, <i><b>Coastal and River Landscapes</i></b> has been created to provide a unique educational experience, in accordance with the Nova Scotia Department of Education outcomes for Geography 10.
</p>
<p>The landforms and landscapes of Crystal Crescent and the Musquodoboit River Valley are the basis of a series of lessons provided here to teach students the basic skills of identifying and classifying coastal and river geographic features.
Each lesson includes a series of maps, aerial photographs from various altitudes (black and white, colour and infrared), and close-up colour digital photographs. As students work through the lessons, they will gradually move in closer to each specific landform and gain the skills in recognizing and classifying each of the indicated features.
The lessons are available by choosing from the menu bar on the left.</p>
